AION 2 Rift Troubleshooting: Missing or Full

First decide whether the portal is missing, visible but rejecting entry, or simply scheduled for later. Each symptom has a different fix; changing the timer cannot solve a full portal or an unmet requirement.

No portal marker: separate time from location

Compare the next start on the game’s event panel with this site. If the game says the opening is still in the future, wait for that start rather than searching old coordinates. If the opening announcement has appeared, open the world map and look for the current portal marker. The Taiwan official guide says the game announces ordinary portal openings and displays their location on the map. A remembered location is not confirmation that this opening uses the same point.

A one-hour mismatch: check Korea versus Taiwan

Under this site’s reference presets, 14:00 Korea (UTC+9) corresponds to 13:00 Taiwan (UTC+8). A Taiwan player selecting Korea will therefore see a start one hour earlier in local time. Correct the selected service first. For a custom service, compare the displayed UTC offset and anchor with the in-game next start. If only one scheduled activity differs, do not change every timer to make that single activity match.

Visible portal, rejected entry: read the message

A capacity rejection and a requirement rejection are different. If the game reports full capacity, changing your computer’s clock will not create space. If it identifies a missing requirement, record that exact condition and complete it before trying again. Do not borrow the level, item-level or combat-power thresholds from Rift Contest: those belong to a separate activity. If the game remains responsive except for entry, investigate the entry message before assuming your connection has failed.

Start passed: check which entry window applies

The Taiwan guide describes 15 minutes of ordinary portal entry and a separate 10-minute entry window for Rift Contest. For an ordinary reference start at 14:00, a 15-minute calculation ends at 14:15; this is a derived planning example, not a live status report. The game’s remaining entry counter takes priority. The site advances to the next start immediately at 14:00, so a future countdown alone does not prove the earlier portal has closed.

If the problem survives those checks

Read the applicable service’s maintenance and emergency notices. Record activity name, service, server, channel, local timestamp with time zone, and the exact error message. A screenshot showing both the message and game clock is more useful than a screenshot of this site alone. If entry has closed, use the next reference opening to plan another attempt, allowing time to locate the new marker. Never include account passwords or login tokens in a report.
