AION 2 Rift Contest: Taiwan Rules & Entry
Rift Contest is a scheduled attack-versus-defense battle, separate from ordinary portal crossings. The official Taiwan guide lists Monday, Thursday and Friday at 20:00 and 23:00.
| Item | Taiwan guide reference |
|---|---|
| Scheduled starts | Monday / Thursday / Friday · 20:00 and 23:00 |
| Participants | 60–200 per side |
| Preparation / battle | 5 minutes / 25 minutes |
| Contest entry | 10-minute window |
Where is the battle?
The guide places the contest in Verteron or Altgard, with attacking and defending roles rotating weekly. The goal is to hold a majority of the objectives. Check the activity UI for the current defending territory rather than inferring this week’s side from the calendar.
Check eligibility before waiting
The Taiwan guide lists level 50, item level 4,500 and combat power 500K, plus completion of the relevant territory’s stronghold progression. These thresholds belong to this contest. They are not requirements for every ordinary rift crossing. Look at the UI’s eligibility result to find the specific missing condition.
Keys, entry and battle phases
The guide says event keys replenish by three each week and a reward consumes one. It describes a five-minute preparation period, a 25-minute battle and a ten-minute contest entry window. Preparation, entry and battle duration overlap; do not add all three together as consecutive phases.
How do rewards work?
Contribution comes from objectives and combat, with rewards requiring a minimum contribution and using class-based rankings. A player who enters is not automatically eligible for a payout. Check the current contribution and key indicators before assuming a reward will be available.
S-PvP and leaving the battle
S-PvP is applied after preparation. The guide also describes temporary participation retention after certain exits or reconnects, with re-entry through the UI. Use the activity panel to confirm whether your participation is still retained. These rules are from the dated Taiwan guide, not a Global verification.
